Before starting the Glasgow Velodrome accreditation I needed to get the old track bike out and de-rust it. I thought I would combine a work related trip with dropping into the Dundee Track. I found it very difficult to get a telephone number. Once I did it was confirmed that the track is open all week, even in winter, has lights and as I was told, for £3.10 I could cycle till my legs drop off. So I spent 75 minutes reminding myself not to even think about freewheeling. As the track has been newly re-surfaced, can take both track and road bikes, is cheap and not that far away, is this an idea for a weekend afternoon out? Attachments:

I didnt even know that track was there. I thought Meadowbank was the only open velodrome in Scotland. Its a nice idea to go over and have a shot on it but I guess it would get quite icy in winter.

Yes you are right. Chap at changing roms said that they do stop its use in these conditions. Wet is okay as tarmac remains grippy but ice is not.
